With springtime here and the water starting to thaw, here is a look at canoeing on two beautiful glacial lakes in the world’s Finest National Park!
Canoeing Lake Louise – Paul Zizka
These two lakes generally thaw by early June, but it is never too early to start thinking about getting in some paddling this summer.

We have already seen some canoes on the Bow River, and closer to the town of Banff, the Blue Canoe Docks will be opening shortly. With kayaks and canoes to rent for your own adventure, Blue Canoe is perfectly located for a quick paddle when in town. Here is a Real Banff look at kayaking in Vermillion Lakes in the summer:
